Payroll, Benefits, & HR Administrator - Kamloops

We are on the hunt for a Payroll, Benefits, & HR Administrator to work out of our production facility in Kamloops. Reporting to our Director of Human Resources in Vancouver, this role is responsible for day-to-day payroll, benefits, and HR administration, including recruiting and policy implementation.


Key Responsibilities:


Payroll & Benefits

Semi-Monthly Payroll for Semi-Monthly Salaried Employees & Bi-Weekly Payroll for Hourly Employees

  • All non-executive team employee (Kamloops, Vancouver, Whistler, Calgary).

  • Administer vacation and sick leave accruals and usage in payroll system and on excel spreadsheet.

  • Disseminate information and respond to employee inquiries for payroll/benefits matters.

  • Annually reconcile and issue T4 and T2200 within statutory requirements.

  • Process records of employment.

Benefits

  • Enroll new members and administer the plan.

  • Reconcile invoicing and payroll deductions.

  • Coordinate new member enrolment for RRSPs.

  • Administer, remit and summary accounting information for additional benefits including RRSP plans and product allowances.


Reporting

  • Complete all reports for accounting and operations as related to each pay period and month end, including the creation and reconciliation of journal entries and EHT.

  • WorkSafeBC /WCB Reporting.


Human Resources

Recruiting for hourly and select salaried roles

  • Posting roles online, screening resumes, conducting screening interviews and setting up second interviews for Plant Management.

  • Complete employment letters for all hourly employees, send new hire forms to hiring managers and process completed forms.

  • Set-up and maintain all non-executive employee files; electronic and paper.

  • HR policy and procedure implementation.

  • Conduct orientations for new plant employees.

  • Support General Manager with staff events and holiday parties for Kamloops Brewery.


Skills & Experience

  • Two to three years of full-cycle payroll experience is required

  • Accounting experience is beneficial

  • Enrollment in or completion of Canadian Payroll Association courses would be an asset

  • Knowledge of provincial payroll and HR legislation

  • Experience with time management and payroll software, ideally Payworks

  • Ability to work independently

  • Commitment to confidentiality
